Mental health care consultant who works under supervision of the GP in our practice is able to provide care for light to moderate cases. More serious or complex cases are forwarded by GP to special mental care institutions specialized in dealing with such patients.
Indications
Mental health care in our practice covers following manifestations, regardless patient’s age:
- Anxiety and stress
- Chronic psychiatric disorders
- Problems with concentration and hyperactivity
- Memory problems
- Burn-out
- Psychotic episodes
- Relationship problems
- Mourning process
- Processing dramatic events
- Sexual problems
- Sleeping problems
- Unexplainable somatic disorders
- Mood changes
- Addictions
- Work related psychical problems
- Psychical problems related to physical illnessof patient or family member
The procedure
Mental health care consultant in our practice holds consultations for psychiatric, psychosomatic and psychosocial problems. He maps your complaints, personal situation and concerns in an interview in order to establish a relevant advice towards you and your GP and/or to create an action plan.
The action plan may suggest further treatment by our consultant, treatment by your GP or treatment by some other care provider or institution (like social worker, psychologist etc.).
Appointments
Please note that the failure to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance or in case you not arrive in the timely matter, the following costs will be charged:
- 50 EUR in case of an intake appointment
- 25 EUR in case of a follow-up appointment
In case this occurs twice, all appointments with Mental Health Care Consultant will be halted and you will be required to make new arrangements with your GP.
